Joe Tilston, Random Hand
"Luke Yates has acted as musical problem solver for many projects I have been involved in, and always worked to an exceptional standard, that has always made him the first choice when needing help. He has engineered recordings for my solo album. He also rranged all the strings including a beautiful piece for the end of the album on a track called erosion.
His excellent musicianship has also played a major part in the live performances of this material in the 'embers band' playing both violin and guitar. Luke has also provided support for Random Hand as a driver and selling merchandise for full tours over the UK and Europe. The fact I still insist he is involved is testament to his hard work and him being a pleasure to work with."
Nathan Stephens-Griffin, Onsind
"Onsind, first worked with Luke on our second album, where he came to play violin for us in a studio in the North East. What we didn't expect was how far his improvisational skills would extend, and his ability to listen to a song, and immediately understand exactly what it needs to tie it together. When it came to doing our third album a couple of years later, he was the first person we got in touch with regarding additional instrumentation.
Luke's participation was done through remote online session performance and arranging, so we sent him the rough tracks by email and he worked on them in his studio, and sent them back. He arranged and performed the violin and arranged horn parts played by another musician. In spite of the distance, the whole process was a total breeze and we couldn't be happier with the final results. Luke is so easy to work with, friendly, funny, and incredibly talented. I really can't recommend his services highly enough."
Mandy Clarke, Super Adventure Club
"Not only did luke get us from A to B proficiently but he also made the journey a lot of fun - the tour wouldn't have been half as good without having luke on board. He went above and beyond what we would ever have expected of him and he wasn't 'just' a driver he became part of the band."
